Are you prepared for an emergency?
Having an emergency kit available to help you through a huge snow storm, a power outage, or other emergency can help you save money in the long run. Things to have in your kit are bottles of water and non-perishable food, an extra cell phone battery or power bank, a battery-powered radio to receive emergency information, a flashlight (and extra batteries), a small first-aid kit, plastic sheeting and duct tape in case of a chemical emergency, hand wipes, a wrench or pliers to turn off utilities if needed, and a can opener (if your kit has canned food).
