In an ongoing project with the Housing Authority of the City of Erie (HACE) and First Energy, LEAF has been busy this fall planting on numerous HACE campuses with volunteers from First Energy, Mercyhurst College students, and ReLeaf volunteers and representatives.
ReLeaf is dedicated to reforesting ares of Erie that need more trees to improve the quality of life for it’s residents. We’re so grateful to the Housing Authority – who, according to their website, owns and manages more than 2,000 quality housing units in the City of Erie for low and moderate income families, elderly, and persons with disabilities.
All of the trees that we planted at the Housing Authority properties were provided to us from a meaningful community partnership with First Energy.
We’re excited to continue these plantings and improve the quality of life for all residents of Erie!
