Housing Authority of the City of Erie Announces 2025 PILOT Payments Totaling More Than $528,000 to Local Government and Schools
Erie, PA —December 18, 2025 — The Housing Authority of the City of Erie (HACE) announced today that it will issue a total of $528,349.14 in 2025 Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) to support essential public services across the City of Erie, Erie County, and Erie’s Public Schools.
As part of its long-standing commitment to the community, HACE will distribute the following payments:
- City of Erie: $187,663
- Erie County: $85,240.86
- Erie’s Public Schools: $255,445.28
PILOT payments are voluntary contributions made by public housing authorities to local taxing bodies to help offset the cost of municipal services, including public safety, infrastructure, parks, and education.
“These payments reflect our commitment to being a strong community partner,” said Executive Director Dusti Dennis. “As we continue to provide high-quality affordable housing and invest in neighborhood revitalization, we remain equally invested in the health, safety, and success of the broader Erie community. These contributions directly support the essential services that benefit our residents and all Erie families.”
HACE’s investments in Erie extend beyond its PILOT contributions. The Authority continues to advance neighborhood stabilization efforts, support youth and family programming, and partner with local agencies to strengthen quality of life for residents across the city.
“We recognize that strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and a stable local government all play a vital role in the well-being of our residents,” Dennis added.
“We are proud to support the City, County, and School District in their work.”
