The Housing Authority of the City in partnership with the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging sponsored its first on-site COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Schmid Towers on Wednesday, February 17th. Pharmacists from LECOM administered the shots. Sign-ups were coordinated by HACE Resident Initiatives Coordinator Cherie Kinem and HomePlus Program Coordinator John Pete. One Hundred and seven (107) vaccines were administered to Schmid Tower residents and HACE staff.
Vaccines will be administered to HACE residents at Friendship Apartments on February 24th and Ostrow Apartments on March 3rd. Pictured is the first Schmid Towers resident to receive her vaccine and Schmid Towers Manager Elizabeth Twohig receiving her vaccine.
