Housing Authority of the City of Erie 2021 Annual and Five-Year Plan Review and Public Hearing
The Housing Authority of the City of Erie (HACE), in compliance with Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998, hereby makes public notice of the following:
On November 13, 2020, the HACE will provide for public review, inspection, and comment, the HACE’s draft 2021 Agency Plan update and supportive material. These documents will be available for inspection by the public at the HACE administration office, 606 Holland St., Erie, PA, 16501, during normal business hours (8:30 am–4:30 pm, Monday – Friday) for a 45-day period, ending December 28, 2020. To facilitate public access and review of the plans, the HACE has arranged for copies of the primary documents to be available at the following site offices:
- Harbor Homes, 1839 E. 18 St.
- John E. Horan Garden Apts., 730 Tacoma Rd.
- Lake City Dwellings, 315 E. 16 St.
- Pineview, 4020 Garden Ave.
- City of Erie Clerk’s Office, 626 State St., Room 104
- Schmid Towers, 153 E. 6 St.
- Friendship Apts., 111 E. 11 St.
- Ostrow Apts., 4220 Davison Ave.
- Marsha Hall Learning Ctr., 1841 E. 18 St.
The Plan details the way in which the Authority proposes to allocate approximately $4.9 million in federal fiscal year 2021 funds. Public housing residents may contact their Resident Advisory Board representatives to review and comment on the Plan. Section 8 clients or interested private citizens may review the documents at the HACE administration office. All comments on the draft plan must be in writing and be received in the HACE office no later than the close of business on Monday, December 28, 2020.
On Monday, December 28, 2020, the HACE Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at 6:30 pm to discuss the 2021 Agency Plan update and invite public comment regarding the plan. The hearing will take place via zoom conference call. To register for the zoom meeting, call the HACE at 814-452-2429.
The HACE will contact all organizations and groups that it believes are interested in the operations, programs, and services of the HACE, to specifically seek their comments and recommendations.
The HACE will consider all public comments received on the plan and make any changes deemed advisable based on the comments and in consultation with the Housing Authority’s Resident Advisory Board.
